Welcome To Connected Content
If you’d told me this time last year that I’d start and maintain a weekly blog, I would have laughed. But The Universe has a funny way of proving you wrong when you scoff at its ideas. Sure enough, in Spring 2006, I started a weekly blog for the animal rescue that I work with.
If you’d told me this time last year that I’d start and maintain two blogs, I would have laughed and then called the nearest institution to arrange to have your sanity checked. One again, not thrilled with being scoffed at, The Universe set out to prove me wrong. And, so, the Connected Content blog was born.
My students were the primary catalysts. After running two online courses this fall, during which I sent students to all manner of blogs and online publications for their reading assignments, several students e-mailed me different variations of the same basic suggestion. Pulling just one of their comments: “I love all the stuff you introduced me to. I wish I could stay tapped into you for more of this kind of information. Have you considered starting one of those blog thingees you sent us to?”
To my students, and the others who pushed for this, ask and ye shall receive. I’ll share what I find. I’ll share what I’ve tried, tested, refined, and then tried again. Hopefully you’ll do the same.
Here we go…
